About Me
Wow, the fact that this space isn't limited to a certain number of characters is mind blowing. Nearly everywhere else on the internet you're expected to detail your personality within a 250 (ish) character box - Needless to say, that just isn't possible.
What to write? Do I say I'm smart, spontaneous, fun, adventurous? Do I like to laugh, smile, go out, have fun? Of course, who doesn't? If someone out there doesn't like those things, please message me... I'd like to listen to some of the things you have to say. Of course, I could say all of that jazz, just like everyone else - But the likely response to such generic descriptors is: Why? Why are you smart? What have you done thats adventurous? Obviously I've got explanations for each of the qualities I've listed, I'm sure everyone does! However, that is part of the test. If you're happy simply knowing that I'm "smart" or "adventurous," you should probably move along. It'd be nice to find someone who is genuinely interested in hearing the stories behind the description.
Oh, I like intelligent people who actually have something to converse about. There is nothing worse than sitting through dinner fishing for things to say or walking through the park wishing you were riding bikes if only to make the trek that much shorter.
You should probably have a Bachelor's or higher (very limited flexibility here, if you're awesome) - I like/prefer intellectuals. You also shouldn't ever use "U," "Y," or type using 1337 speak. Und3rs74nd? Your profile shouldn't be full of entirely capitalized sentences and you should be able to construct and articulate your thoughts coherently in type as well as in speech.
If you have a "closet nerd" side, that'd be kind of cool too! I certainly do (Computer Science major), but you probably couldn't tell unless a topic of choice surfaces during conversation. "Geeking out" on occasion (or even frequently) can certainly be considered a plus!
More to come..
