I am a professional musician here in Montreal. I make my living playing and teaching trumpet. I am really happy with my profession, I feel like a lot of people get jobs or careers and they don't necessarily enjoy them. Like the movie Office Space says, "What would you do if you didn't have to work anymore?" Well, I'd play trumpet; perhaps in different settings than I do now, but I'd still play.

Other than music, I enjoy baseball, hockey, good scotch, and hanging out with my friends. I don't go to museums, plays or concerts (symphony, opera) nearly as often as I'd like so I wouldn't mind meeting someone to do that kind of thing with, I always have a great time. I really enjoy going to pubs, but for conversation, good beer, mediocre food. Clubs really aren't my thing, the music there annoys me, and it is too loud.

I grew up in Northern Ontario and enjoy camping, canoeing/kayaking and boating, but I haven't been in a few years, since I moved to Montreal really. But I could keep up in any of those. I can make a fire in almost any condition and have been on a few 3-4 day canoe trips.

At home, try not to procrastinate, hangout with my roommates and our dog. I cook most nights (not just kraft dinner, but sometimes kraft dinner on a lazy Sunday afternoon) and I try to keep the place relatively clean. I watch some TV, but try not to get too attached to it. However How I Met Your Mother, Dexter, and The Office are the three shows I keep track of online. Of course hockey and baseball.

Somewhere were we can talk and get to know each other. Dinner, drinks at a pub, walk through a museum, a walk to the old port (brr), skating?
