Wow...I have been on POF for three years....no its all good!!!! I met the love of my life here (the one with the pretty smile in my pics below) and so many amazingly nice, compassionate and genuine people. I figure this has worked out so well why not meet more new friends? I would like to continue to do this as long as people understand it is strictly friendship.
I like to add things to my profile from time to time that reflect my thoughts about who I am, where I want to go, and who I would like to meet along the way. I can't help but think that this great journey, we call the human experience, is way to short! I have to admit that I have been blessed with wonderful, loving and generous people that have joined me so far. These souls are forever part of me, my spirit and the energy that allows me to appreciate today and every new day I am blessed to continue on.
Yes, the cajun shrimp & bacon tartlette is my creation! I love to create and in a small way contribute to the world around me...be it for friends, family, a lover or just someone in need. I am both blessed and gifted in this respect and it be nice to find other creative and gifted people that really understand how to share, love and fight for a better world around us.
Across the Universe and back again....sometimes that is how long or how far it feels like when trying to find deep and meaningful love. However long or however far...enjoy the journey and worry less about what happens at the end of it....well that is my take on this whole adventure and I am sticking to it! I am lucky to be in-love and to be loved back...it continues to be an amazing journey that I hope never ends.
My dog is a 3 year old Weimaraner named Ozzy and we come as a pair...so if you are not a dog lover you need not read on. Ozzy is fast, fit and a total cuddle bug. I am not as fast, reasonably fit and a total cuddle bug too! Are you starting to get the picture?
I love my coffee and I blend a really good roast. I don't tend to meet people for coffee anymore, its just to rigid and contrived. However, a coffee joint that you frequent does tell something about your personality. I like the out of the ordinary eclectic coffee houses that offer interesting conversation, artistic atmosphere and just enough sweet things to tempt one's willpower on a early morning.
Jane Of The Jungle, watch out for that tree!...I am hardly the Tarzan type but I do love being outdoors, searching for new adventures, finding peace and solace away from the busy day-to-day world around us. You don't have to be Jane either but you will have to be pretty crafty to keep me indoors on the worst of days

So by now you should have figured out that I am a old school romantic and a active individual. I would also like to think of myself as a climber, always pushing onwards to grow more as a person, a father and a partner. I love to read, find people that inspire me, and surround myself with loyal and loving friends. I have found many new friends in the past few years who have truly inspired me and this has allowed me to grow in leaps and bounds. I am always so deeply thankful for their warmth and companionship.
If I was asked about how I would describe myself I would have to say a mix between Agent 86 - Maxwell Smart and Fred Flintstone. Wait!...hold up....think about it, its not so bad! Okay they were a bit bumbly and had a bit of a edge but they were loyal, loving, childishly charming, individual and caring men that happened to be very funny by sheer accident. I was hoping to meet people here at POF that still valued these qualities. Maybe by chance there is a Agent 99 or a Wilma (funny though I always had the hots for Betty) type here looking for the same. So...get comfy, go visit my popcorn machine in the corner, relax and read away.
What I am looking for?: Friends! You can tell from my interests that I have a wide range of things I like to do with my free time. I have this lethal problem that I don't like to engage in them alone...well there are a few that can only be done by yourself. I meant reading for all of you with your head in the gutter! I like well traveled, educated, elegant and sophisticated women that are attractive, love to take good care of themselves and know how to enjoy the finer things in life. I connect well with people that have a big hearts, a youthful edge, and that are able to laugh at themselves and the world around them. I don't have a particular "type" that I am attracted to but for chemistry to really exist you must have a passionate love for children, animals, being outdoors, adventure, food, wine, travel, music, and deeply intellectual and emotional connections.
About Me: First and foremost, I am a father of 3 beautiful kids. The amazing thing about my kids is I love taking care of them...except for cleaning the bathrooms (for the love of god, can boys not aim better!). I am an attractive man with a warm, passionate and humourous disposition and outlook on life. I am generally successful in what I undertake. There remains so are many things fun to explore and new to experience....ever try going dancing at a gay club? If you do...say hi to Ramone for me (blushes).
No doubt I will surprize you in many ways but that is really up to you to discover!
I am sophisticated, talented, intelligent and independent but warm, funny, compassionate and very generous...did I say funny?. I value most charitable people that volunteer and are not fearful of fighting for a noble cause.
Okay, it time to get your sweet wonderful self off into someone else's profile. There are lots of great and fun people to meet here at POF. Come back and visit, add me to your favourites list. I promise to drop by and say hello every so often and yes, if your local looking for an active friend, send me an e-mail and I promise I will reply. Personally I don't deal well with rejection. Its so bad that I had to install my own rejection hotline....of course, no one calls!
Oh...the testimonials. Well I paid for those, well at least I advertised that I was going to pay for them.
One last parting thought for anyone chasing a dream here in this funky world of on-line dating. My very own version of a Gump-ism.
"On-line dating is like a box of Cracker Jacks...There is a surprise in every box just that the surprises are just not as good as they used to be"Some more inspirations:
"Listening to you I get the music. Gazing at you I get the heat. Following you I climb the mountain. I get excitement at your feet!" -

I think if you have gone to all this trouble to find someone that might be special then treat them as being special by doing something fun, engaging but still personable and warm....well thats my outlook anyways.
