Hello - I am active, outgoing, and loyal. I can also be introspective and quiet at times. I am curious, open, intelligent and sensual. I love children and miss my dog who is keeping my dad company at the moment. I am active with skiing/boarding in the winter and biking in the spring and summer. I like to travel and do so 2-3 times a year, most recently in Belize (great snorkeling!). I enjoy learning and experiencing the new. Books are high on my list and clutter my space a bit. I can go from jeans to dressy and am comfortable in both worlds.

Music really moves me and I enjoy it best live, preferably in a funky cafe with an eclectic crowd. I have a place in a small town in Colorado as well and that town has just such a place. I also like cities, particularly New York and San Francisco --- just walking the city and taking it all in feeds my soul at times. I'm spiritual and connected to the natural world and small places as well, hence the place in Colorado where crisp summer nights unfold moonlight on the river Arkansas and winter snow days are unparalleled.

I've watched the evening southern sky from the back of a truck in the mountains of Chile, road my bike to raise funds for AIDs, loved two step children, boarded the wrong plane once, listened to the smooth jazz of Nelson Rangell as the wind waffed through the Catalina Island ballroom, slept all night on a beach, took my first airplane ride in my grandfather's single engine prop plane (and believed him that a brown paper bag placed taunt against my stomach prevented air sickness), photographed a Greek sunrise from the deck of a cargo boat, celebrated my grandmother's 100 birthday, testified before Congress, belly laughed with friends to the point of tears, watched the northern lights in Alaska, loved hard, lost hard, cheered my heart out at a CAL football game, and cried at a lot of movies.

I am blessed with good friends and family, but am missing having a companion in whose life I can be involved and who can be involved in mine.

A casual atmosphere where we have a chance to get to know one another --- glass of wine, cup of coffee... and see where it goes.
