Hi, thanks for checking out my profile. I thought I'd avoid the usual online dating cliches (even though I really am a fun, laid back individual with a zest for life who likes long walks on the beach and kisses in the rain) and tell you a bit more about me:

-I'm an optimist at heart who believes that you get more out of life from being positive than negative. Your only real legacy in life is in the positive effect you have on others.
-I think there's a difference between being a nice person and being a good person. Being nice means trying to please others. Being a good person means trying to live right, balancing doing good in this world with being true to yourself and honest with others. I try to be a good person.
-I think compromise and communication are the key to any relationship. It's unrealistic to expect that you'll always want the exact same things. I'm looking for someone with maturity and intelligence and open mindedness who would be a real partner in life.
-My sense of humour tends to be sarcastic, silly and self deprecating.

Favorite things include:
-enjoying the peace and quiet of a late night or early morning run
-having friends over for a dinner party
-good movies (favorites: fight club, anything pixar, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind)
-cooking, food (I make great steak au poivre and the moistest thanksgiving turkey and stuffing in the world)
-getting up late on bright sunny saturdays for breakfast over a newspaper or a crossword.
