About Me
I am an artist and musician. A transplanted Texan living in the Windy City. I went to Baylor and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. One day I hope to be unforgettable. I work when no one's awake and sleep when I'm not supposed to. I'm addicted to learning. I collect jokes and will beat you at Scrabble (sorry, but I am pretty good). I love cereal and somehow my socks never match. I have the best friends possible. I have more than a few tattoos and piercings. I'm in a band and, apparently, I like obscure music (according to everyone who goes through my iTunes). I have been known to be more than a bit sarcastic and do love the double entendres as well. I am an unabashed people watcher and enjoy being a fly on the wall and taking everything in. I'm constantly reforming my own opinions and thoughts and hope I always will. I've always thought perfection is limitation and love the flawed and overlooked. I've very recently discovered I'm secretly a vagabond at heart and will one day be caught playing guitar on your street or selling my art to passers-by with a thumb to the road and letting the wind dictate my direction. I guess all in all I'm looking for a partner in crime. Someone to inspire as much as they inspire me. I also have a very fatal weakness for shy brainy girls in glasses. Bonus points for tattoos, piercings, proper grammar, and knowing who Jacques Derrida and Miranda July are. Anything else just ask.
Music: Broken Social Scene, Mindless Self Indulgence, Able Baker Fox, Small Brown Bike, American Steel, The Gaslight Anthem, Stars, Patsy Cline, The Avett Brothers, Cloud Cult, Miles Davis, Buddy Rich, Buddy Guy, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Blackalicious, Jurassic 5, Modest Mouse, I hate Myself, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bearvsshark, At the Drive-in just to name a few.
First Date
1st date? Hmmm, well, since I at this point know nothing about you I guess I'll have to go with things that I like. Well, I'm a big fan of the music festivals at Millennium park, so we would probably start out there. Hang out on the lawn eat, drink, listen to good music, and talk about all life in general. Afterwards, we'd hop on our bikes (p.s. did I mention we ride bikes?) and explore the city (I know some pretty great secret spots) at night and find an awesome spot that no one knows exists and enjoy it. Also p.s. did I mention it's summer in this date?
love like blitzkrieg has 2 roses that can be sent.
