Hello! Salvete! Konnichiwa!

My name is Travis. I am currently going to school (graduate in December) with a degree in Software Development. Basically means I am a nerd, good at math, and can finally command a computer to do what I want it to! Mwa-hahaha!

My interests run the gammut of Martial Arts (latest martial art is aikido: meshes with my philosophy pretty well), Mythology, storytelling, Role-playing (Yes...D&D. See afformentioned note that I am a nerd), documentaries on everything (King Corn was awesome and made me much more aware on HFCS). The internet is my drug of choice, and I can surf it for hours on end, finding some really cool little sites for pretty much everything. I love off-beat news, and have found some really cool unbiased newssites (as much as anything on the internet can be unbiased, at any rate).

Musically, I am about as unfocused as anyone else can be. It is safe to say that I like almost everything but modern hiphop. Feel it kind of lost its way when it started getting completely material. Having said that, there's a lot of music and artists out there that do that, and some of their songs are good for what they are supposed to do: fill in a void of noise for something catchy and flashy. But, I much more like songs that have a message (CCR, Simon & Garfunkle), or songs that mirror my current situation/feelings (Disturbed, Chimaira, Muddy Waters) ...yeah...that last name threw you for a loop, huh?

Beyond that? I am a very deep, layered person. My philosphy is that: mine, and I will not force it, or my religion on anyone and kindly request the same. Don't mind discussions or debates, in fact, I love it. Sometimes, I get floored by some of the topics that can be talked about. Just dislike the topics where no one is willing to at least listen and acknowledge someone else's viewpoint.

Wow...talk about a ramblin' man. Anyways, I am not here to find my soul mate or the person that fulfills all my dreams and desires. Would love to stumble into someone like that, but I try to be pragmatic. I just want to find someone I can spend some time with, develop a relationship with (be it friendship, lovers, or someone I love to hate, it's all good).

Would like to do something that reveals at least one thing about us each. First off, doing something you are passionate about or enjoy immensely, then go and do something I am passionate about or enjoy immensely.
