Lightning! I love thunderstorms, particularly big ones. I have known since I was a youngster that I will leave this world on the business end of a lightning bolt.

But there are other types of lightning too. Maybe finding someone out of the blue will qualify. Trying to find the proverbial needle in the haystack may be challenging. But a limit must be drawn if asked to find the needle in a stack of other needles.

If you have trouble using the words 'us', 'we', and 'our' then you probably should look elsewhere. I am 'old school' and I enjoy opening doors, holding chairs, helping / holding a coat, walking on the outside, rising when a lady approaches, offering an arm (or a hand to a lady in process of getting up). It is too bad that old fashioned niceties have pretty much gone away.

I am a dog person. If you are too, enough said. Actually I AM a dog person since I was born in the Year of the Dog.

I was raised to be, and I live my life as, a gentleman. I have also grown into being a gentle man. As much integrity as you will find. Soft spoken and compassionate. Tolerant but at the same time not suffering of fools.

If you are one that hikes down the mainstream of conformity and convention, look to the other bank and wave. A whole lot of the time I will be there.

I would love to teach English in the Orient. Unfortunately it appears that I waited too long since most Asian countries have upward age limitations for working Visas. I would find it delightful to find someone with the same interest and be placed, as partners, in similar situations in similar locales. But wanting and practicalities sometimes are at loggerheads.

There is plenty more. But then what would we have left to talk about over breakfast?

The eyes have it. If two people can make serious eye contact and want to continue spending time, then there is little that can't be done. Once past this initial hurdle this gentleman and gentle man will recognize the lady in his company.

Meeting? Well coffee is the 'norm' I guess and I have been a coffee drinker since age 3! But would prefer someplace where a good breakfast can be had. Not necessarily morning but a place that will serve it all day. Also someplace relatively conducive to conversation. Lunch works too as would any ethnic except those with curry or spinach.

But, he says stealing a line from Good Will Hunting, we could meet for 'eating caramels'.

But hey! (Weather permitting) grabbing some fast food and taking it to a local park to enjoy some sunshine, that is OK too.

I do not want to meet for drinks. I will not drive after drinking...OK maybe one micro brew but otherwise not. This is one concession to my aging process.
