| | Okay so the instructions say that if you want to be successful and not waste your time, you have to talk about yourself here, so I apologize in advance for making this "all about me" (smile).
I would describe myself as articulate, resilient, independent, and a life long learner. I have a "small town girl" demeanor with a big city point of view. I have a quirky sense of humour and enjoy witty repartee. My friends and colleagues say that I am loyal, strong, empathetic, wise and have a youthful appearance and attitude. I love spending time at home, puttering around the kitchen but also look forward to vacations in interesting places and am lucky to have family and friends to visit in different corners of the world. I also enjoy taking my dog for daily walks checking out local neighborhoods and trails.
I am passionate about and can appreciate most kinds of music. I have enjoyed more than a few concerts in my day and will still try to get tickets and dance for the entire concert when U2 comes to town. My kids are grown and away most of the time pursuing their own dreams and it is a rewarding time as a parent (well most of the time :), building adult relationships with your grown children even if they still need me to be Mom from time to time. I believe there is no greater investment you can make in your own life than cherishing and caring for the relationships with those that you love.
We all have stories that have shaped who we are and have created lives that are important to us. I recognize that having a loving partner would add another rich layer to my life. Past experiences, have taught me a lot about what it takes to build a loving relationship; and it doesn't include a long unrealistic list of "must haves" and an "it is all about me" attitude. It does include honesty, humour, integrity, humour, compassion, humour and keeping it real (with a lot of humour!). I am just a girl looking for a guy that turns out to be the love of her life.
