Considering how long we've known ourselves, we would think a self description would be easier. If I have to describe myself, I would say I am friendly, outgoing, well spoken, mannerly, fun and sometimes funny. I don't tell jokes, but I love to tell fun stories (it's the Irish in me).
Of all the hats I have worn, I've always enjoyed my dad hat the most. I have two daughters, now in their mid twenties, and both currently in the Nashville area. We visit at least daily, and I'm very proud of them. I've been widowed for twelve years, and had a great wife and a wonderful marriage.
Describing what I am looking for is equally difficult. I feel like I am up for anything, from casual dating to a committed relationship, but have no definitive expectations. I enjoy my life, but know from experience, it could be better.
Given a perfect world, I'd like to meet someone who is extremely good looking, witty, intelligent and super sexy. Additionally, I'd like someone with a great personality, and a fun sense of humor (filthy rich would be good too) whose driving goal in life is to find a very average -even by his own admission- guy.
Given it is not a perfect world, I guess someone as average as me would be quite fine!

My "most favorite" fun is attending Bluegrass events. I enjoy it all; from the large festivals to the small jams, from listening to participating (singing), I sing several times a week around Nashville.
I also enjoy book stores, festivals, the monthly flea market, walking downtown Nashville(mixing it up with the tourists) and downtown Franklin.
A good first date would be anything that would prompt easy conversation, yet provide a diversion if the conversation should lull.
