About Me
Originally from Washington, D.C. and the past fifteen years in Florida, I am now learning to enjoy life here in Texas. My interests are varied and I appreciate the same in my partner I can go to a hole-in-the-wall joint one night or a five star restaurant the next and mix well with anyone at either place. I dislike drama and believe that communication and respect between two people makes it work. Some people just don't seem to ever understand those facts no matter how old they get. While I have listed "dating" as what I am looking for, there is nothing that would make me happier than to find a great long term relationship with the ONE right woman. Who is that ONE woman? Someone asked me what it is that I am looking for in a woman. I can't rattle off exactly what it is that would catch my eye. To me, every woman is a work of art, each a virtual masterpiece unto herself. And just as a trip to an art museum will reveal that while the Manet, Monet, Degas, or VanGogh are all spectacular it may be that a certain Matisse is the one that grabs my interest. I can't say exactly what it is that draws me to that particular painting nor do I want to disect it to know. I just would like to find the woman I would consider to be my Matisse, the one who captures my attention, my work of art. Relationships aren't built overnight and just like an oak tree it takes time for one to grow strong. I love music whether it be live or just at home with a CD cranked up. It really is a part of me with my favorites being blues and classic rock but I can also enjoy symphony and even some opera. Enough said here. If you are interested in knowing a genuinely good guy who has just enough bad boy in him to keep it interesting then "I'm your huckleberry!" (If you don't understand that statement, it is a line from the movie "Tombstone" spoken by Val Kilmer and you should check it out or just Google it). Oh, one last thing. If you are still hung up on your ex-husband/boyfriend or for some other odd reason are not an emotionally available woman, we wouldn't mesh well. I don't know about you but I am looking for the whole enchilada.
First Date
I am pretty open on this. I do think wine and food make a great setting for conversation. ANYTHING BUT STARBUCKS!!! If I see one more profile that says "meet at Starbucks" I think I will go crazy. I figure that at any given moment, if you drive past a Starbucks anywhere in the United States, there are people in there meeting for the first time from the internet. Let's dare to be different!
