Born and raised in New Jersey, I've been perceived (in the past) of being blunt, direct, sarcastic and gruff, but that's really just that New York attitude showing through. I've been in Texas since '78, so you would think some of that has worn off by now. I prefer to think of my humor as a "Sienfeld" humor ("get out!"). I'm in a creative business (publishing and marketing) and have a quick wit, an artistic eye, and a good sense of self. Looking for same in a partner. I’m also pretty active physically, although I don’t necessarily need to share that with anyone.

After doing the personals thing for a while, my first date (now) would likely be coffee or drinks somewhere to see if there is any "there" there. But, if that "interview" goes well, a good first date would be a nice dinner where we could chat and get to know each other, or a nice happy hour somewhere that turns in happy hourS.
