I am happy and secure in all aspects of my life except one. I am looking for someone special with which to share the joys of life, such as watching the beautiful Maui sunset, scuba diving, and traveling. I believe life is precious and shouldn't be wasted causing drama or arguing over trivial issues. I've made it a priority in my life to try and appreciate each day and to focus on getting new life experiences rather than getting new things.

I am independent, determined, intelligent and passionate. I am from the Midwest and am very down-to-earth and low maintenance. I know so many women claim that (a couple of my friends included) who really are NOT at all. Growing up middle class in rural (I'm talking dirt road) southern Indiana where the electricity went out often helped me be grounded. I can still recall the treks each day of winter carrying buckets of hot water to the barn for the horses in what seemed like 20 degrees below zero weather, you know the kind where the wind whips around so icy chilly that you cannot seem to take a breath? I'm not complaining at all - heck, we had 2 horses! My point is that I grew up in a location and with parents who expected me to do things for myself.

I'm looking for someone who's got a great sense of humor, and is confident, intelligent, passionate, and compassionate. My match would be a man who is responsible, dependable, honest, and open. Are you a gentleman? Will you open doors for me? Are you secure enough to handle an independent woman who likes to be treated like a lady? Are you strong enough to always make me feel safe? For a first date, I think it would be fun to play tourist and do an activity such as a dinner cruise, paragliding, eco-tour, zipline, luau, whale watching, or even taking in a sunset.
