I'm a little bit cracked like everyone else, but the cracks are where the light shines in. I was the class clown in high school, so I'll keep you laughing, I promise. I selected "salt and pepper" for a hair color but I prefer to call it "light black" ;-)

I'm half Irish and half Italian. I can cook Italian. Thank goodness for that because the Irish boil all of their meals.

I'm an emotionally intelligent, Christian man confident of who I am today and looking for someone who shares my Spirituality, views and desire for fun, intimacy and intellectual conversation about a variety of subjects. I am very happy. I don't push my faith on anyone because after all, that never worked for me. Becoming a Christian did not kill the bad boy in me.

Experiences of real communication with others can be amazing, When I am in these situations, I really know how to let myself go. I love a good practical joke as much as a comedy. I'm loyal and I'm a gentleman unless you tell me not to be ;-) I like silently planning romantic interludes and I get as much enjoyment out of the planning as I do the actual encounter (Of course I need to know you first).

You will generally find me in jeans, but I can wear a cowboy hat or a Tux and still be comfortable. I guess I have a little cowboy in me. I'm quick witted and love to laugh. Respect is just as important as being loved. I am a compassionate technical professional, so I like to think outside the box. I invent things and I build things. I'm pretty darned handy with just about anything, but I don't want to be defined by that, it is just part of who I am. I Remain calm yet resilient during a crisis.

I believe that Gratitude is an action. There is no greater purpose in life than to be of service to others and I am blessed to have a real job that allows me time to volunteer my God given talents several days a week in a charitable way building houses for those in need. The people in my life are more important to me than my job, and so I work far less these days at my real job.

You'll never find me never anchored to the sofa on a game day, however I enjoy sporting events (just not a sports nut). I love the outdoors and outdoor activities; camping fishing, hiking, skiing and white water rafting. I LOVE live music, and listening to my music. I also like to read.

Two of my children still live with me on alternate weekends and their emotional well being is of the utmost importance to me. I don't get a second chance to raise them properly. Their well being will always factor into my decisions, especially with regard to dating; sometimes I need one on one time with them. In that regard I take my daughter on an occasional date night so that I can model for her how a woman should be treated by a man. I need to be the single most important man in her life, or she will go looking for "him" someday. I realize that I have only a few precious years before she wants to be with her friends more than she wants to be with Dad.

Isn't the expectancy that exists in a relationship amazing ? It's that desire to be with someone; just knowing that you will be. One of the easiest ways to damage a relationship is to introduce expectations into a relationship, where Rules and Judgement replace that desire.

Sometimes I am wrong, but I know this: The person that I commit to will understand my creativity and want to spend time with me; but who will also understand my need for autonomy at times. Sometimes I just need to be alone. This is how I replentish my soul and it makes me a better partner. One Person cannot complete another. I really would like to meet someone who is happy with who they are on the inside. She'll want to laugh through life with me and explore. She'll be the key to my lock and encourage my spiritual and emotional growth, as well as be able to engage in mature discussion and share my need to be youthful and playful. She'll have a desire for intimacy and grow with me to love me for the man I am, not the man she expects me to be, and I, in turn will do the same for her.

I think an intial meeting in a coffee shop is a good idea before a first date. That said, I think a first date should always revolve around a meal, whether it be a nice lunch or candlelit meal. It is a very relaxing environment where you can face each other and experience real communication and get to know each other a little. It's always nice to finish dinner and enjoy live music somewhere together.
