As the typical saying goes...I'm at a loss for what to write here...

Music is an obsession of mine and it's always with me in one form or another. I've tried to get with the times but I still rock an RCA discman that's at least 10 years old and is now held together with an elastic band (and sometimes I just bring my laptop with me for broader choices). I would say my music tastes are less well known than most, but not completely unknown and range from hardcore punk (Refused or Crime In Stereo -esque) to post rock (Sigur Ros or GY!BE) to hip hop and all the random bits in between. I'm a firm believer in the true meaning of the genre of "emo" (not to be confused with newer poppy garbage) including the likes of bands like Indian Summer or Pg.99, the earlier the better I've found. If you've heard of any of these bands you already have my interest. Wow if you couldn't tell...I really like music.

I'm a man of simple tastes beyond that. Never too picky with any particular thing. I'm a graduate of Radio Broadcasting (no I don't work in radio at the moment) but I hate commercials (Adbusters anyone?) and typical advertising, but love some ads. I picked up the nickname 'Bitter' in college for this precise reason, but have been told I'm not really that bitter.

I enjoy gaming, reading and watching Jeopardy; I find it fun to challenge myself mentally as much as I can.

To end as I started...yeah, not sure what I should have wrote but am always willing to answer any questions. Oh, if you couldn't tell I tend to over-explain things by using obscene amounts of brackets (not sure why, just a bad habit I suppose).

For a first date I'd like to keep things casual. Nothing fancy, most likely hanging out somewhere just getting to know one another looking for the click. Coffee? Fast-food? Maybe a movie. Anything simple. My experience has taught me that starting off with a big show tends to lead to high expectations and that's something no one can keep up forever. I'd rather get to know a person sitting on a park bench, than to try and impress someone with methods I know are impossible to keep as a standard.
