About Me
Beta dog here, no alpha. An artsy-fartsy kind of guy, I'm a soft-spoken real
gentleman with an inner lil' bad boy, who’s shy at first but opens up to the right
woman, a man who enjoys the arts, music, film, movies, literature and when affordable,
fine living. I enjoy making and eating homemade waffles with real maple syrup with
gourmet coffee and engaging conversations about PBS or NPR stories, movies or books
museums or weekend trips to historical sites or intimate romantic get-a-ways. I like
drinking great beer with the boys but also enjoy a bottle of fine wine with a loaf of
French bread, exported cheese and fresh fruit with my lady.
I appreciate intelligent, independent and strong willed women. A lady who may have been
raised with a traditional upbringing but may now live a non-traditional lifestyle, a
woman who enjoys the adventure and imagination of history, past, present, possible
future and most of all, becoming friends, first and last.
Who am I? A former rock drummer and cable access TV producer, I was born and raised in
South Central Nebraska but lived in Boston for 27 years. I moved back to Nebraska in
2004 to finish my BS degree at UNK that started in the 1970’s but mostly to be closer
to my elderly Mom and Dad. I graduated in 2007 with a 3.5 GPA, which made my mother and
I proud. Since she passed away, I moved back to the Boston.
I got interested in cable access television to document life, my life, my friend’s
life, and strangers. The name of my show was called “Static Attic’s Found Object”.
Some of the life I have documented may seem insignificant but the the day-to-day
living of ordinary people are the back-story of history. Take a look at the
archaeological digs of Pompeii that I was lucky to see at the Boston’s Museum of Fine
Arts. It was a very eye-opening experience into the human condition reflecting the
remains of their last days on Earth. I was, also, fortunate to see Emperor Qin's
Terracotta Army from China, which was amazing, duplicating copies of his soldiers to be
buried with him. John Singer Sergeant’s exquisite portraits and portrayals of Victorian
society really moved me. The tiny detailed drawings of Rembrandt made me feel
humble. Mary Cassatt made me wonder why she painted mothers with children but never
married herself.
I have learned a lot about music in my lifetime and wanted to do something about
it. While back at school, I produced and DJ’d a radio show called “ the Lost 20th
Century Juke Box”. Searching my memory (a little help from Google), I produced shows
for listeners to discover the roots of popular music, not to mention that good ol'
Rock‘n’Roll. Sometimes, I still play drums and jam with friends but looking for other
opportunities to gig and be creative.
I’m not really into sports but after living in Boston for so many years, I’ve become a
Red Sox and Patriots fan.
The world may not be my oyster but the lower 48 states are still a broad horizon. I
have great friends all over the country and in times of trouble, I can count on them to
be there for me. Like I said, I have returned to the Boston area with
the blessing of my Dad and to stay with close friends who are my extended family.
I’m in a situation where I can make new friends who may become an important and
endearing part of my life. I am a one-woman man. I’m not a wealthy man but I am rich in
friends, family and life experiences. Come, enjoy with me.
