It's been said a thousand times, so what new twist can I put on it to make it mine? To make me special or to stand out from everyone else? Well, I am 49 years old. I was married for over 20 years. I have a sometimes wicked and sarcastic sense of humor. I absolutley love trivia and am on a trivia team that travels to contests. We have never finished below 3rd place and have won several! I also love renaissance faires and work at a few during the spring/summer. I live on the lake pretty much in the middle of no where. Peaceful at times, boring at others.. Oh yeah, my obligatory, I like quiet walks in the park, frolicking on the beach and reading the paper in bed on a Sunday morning. I really DO like all of those things, but everyone says that.

I love to golf! Also any day on the lake is a great day! I am a movie buff. And can't forget the Ren Faires. In full garb of course.

I am a systems analyst. No, not the boring kind that live in a dungeon and play computer games when they arent watching Star Trek re-runs. Although......See my comments about Ren Faires

my ethnicity:
Scotch Irish background with a good dose of Puritan English on my mom's side. Family came in the early 1600's to Mass.

my religion:
I grew up in a very strict go to services 3 or 4 times a week. Have strayed far from THAT lifestyle, but still look for the truth in all religions. Won't back away from a discussion until it becomes a heated debate!

my education:
Went to school and college in Ohio. Have several certifications for work and constantly try to learn new and interesting things.

favorite hot spots:
Cancun is my favorite. Also enjoy European vacations. Spent a month backpacking there a few years ago. Have to head back soon. I missed Italy! LOL

Favorite things? Hmmm.......I try to have fun doing ANYTHING! If you can't have fun doing it then WHY are you doing it?

About my life and what I'm looking forI love mini vacations. You know, work long weeks and then pop off a 3 or 4 day excursion to??? I love live theater and old movies and cant seem to get enough of the lake or a golf course... I wear a tie to work and jeans on the weekends. I have a great sense of humor (I think) and it is rule number 1 that she does too. of course mine is just warped enough to run from Monty Python to Dennis Miller. Who am I looking for? Dont judge a book by it's cover because you just maybe passing up the greatest story inside.

Who am I looking for? Hard to answer. Intelligence, humor, a sense of adventure, sensuous, fun. A student of life and all that it has to offer. Someone that doesn't have to plan each and every detail. Someone that looks forward to that morning cup of coffee out on the deck while watching the hawks cruise over the lake. Someone that wouldn't be afraid to cheer for her favorite football team when they are playing mine. A PASSION for life and not just along for the ride. Secure in yourself, but still doesn't mind me telling you how beautiful you are. Basically, who I am looking for is this...you. Be yourself and I'll be myself. Don't "do it" for me, do it because YOU want to. Do it because the thought intrigues you. I know you are there...show yourself. What I miss most is this..PASSION. Describe your favorite meal. Did you have a steak? Or did you have this great steak that was perfectly done. It just melted in your mouth and fell apart on the knife. ...That is PASSION talking...Ever hear an artist that had number one hits but despite them playing your type of music, you knew they just had no heart in their music? It just didn't strike you? That is passion. If you describe something you even just "like" in multiple sentences, you probably have passion. I think I have it too. because it isnt all about sex, but that can be pretty darned passionate too.

Well, in MY opinion, a first date needs to be somewhere that we can talk. If you dont get to know each other a little on the first date, how can there be a second? So even if it is a movie, I think it is important to at least do dinner or coffee afterwards/before.
