I've decided that I needed to be a little more realistic on here. I've lied to myself for years about my size, and unfortunately, I have given some men the impression that I'm something I'm not. SO, here's the truth. In recent years, due to an hereditary digestive disease, my weight has gone up a bit. I'm not going to reveal the number, that's just not how I am. However, I'm not some Barbie doll. I have recently started a self reevaluation, and am making some major changes to my life. I quit smoking 9 weeks ago, joined the local gym, and work out or walk every day. Change is good, and the MAN who can appreciate the fact that I am taking my own health more seriously....that's the guy for me.
I'm from NC, and miss it like crazy everyday of my life. But this is what my children know, where they are comfortable, and I just can't take that from them. I grew up moving around a lot (14 schools in 12 years),and I want my kids to have the stability that comes from staying here. As long as they are happy, then I can be happy.
I have 5 tattoos, and 3 more planned. Which is funny, because after the 4th, I always said I wouldn't get more. But, each of them were carefully thought out, and all of them can be covered by clothing if necessary.
I love reading a good book, writing poems and short stories, spending massive amounts of time with my kids, Going places with my friends, karaoke when I've been drinking (haha), long walks, intense talks, laughing, causing laughter, cooking, trying new things, going new places.....I'd keep going, but then no one would want to get to know me, because my whole life would be right here.
My kids are without question the most important people in my world. They are my sun, my moon, and my stars. If a guy I'm dating gets luck enough to meet them, and they don't like him...that's it. Kids are great at knowing what a person is really like, and the opinions of my kids haven't steered me wrong yet.
Now, as for the kind of guy I'm looking for. That's something I've given more thought to. I was married for 12 years, and told myself that I wouldn't be with another guy like my ex husband. So, the guy for me MUST meet the following expectations:

1) must have a job
2) must have a car
3) must like kids, even if he doesn't have any.
4) must not be an alcoholic. Which means if you're idea of an awesome night out is having to be carried home....or if your beer goggles make you pick up another woman....see ya!
5) can't be afraid to be mushy sometimes. I like to have a guy hold my hand...in public.
6) has to have a good sense of humor.
7) should be more into ME than he is himself.
8) can't be a neat freak. I have kids. There is always a mess somewhere in our home. deal.
9) has to understand that I can't move my kids away from where we are now. So if we get serious enough, you have to be willing to move here, at some point. (I'll wait while some of you leave)




10) can't expect me to dress like a girly girl all of the time. I know how to look nice when I have to. But I prefer jeans and a good t-shirt.
11)THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: I will NOT date a guy who weighs more than I do, unless it's because you're over 6 feet tall and full of muscles. I'm sorry, I know that's rather like the pot calling the kettle black. But I've never been into big guys. Everyone has their standards. Besides, I'd lose count trying to recall how many GUYS profiles I've read where it says the same darn thing.
