I have been on my own for a couple of years and am quite comfortable in my own company (and my pets). STRANGE !! I state that I am ok with myself, but I find myself here looking for company, companionship (eventually). I suppose i dont have a very clear picture of why I am here. Suffice to say I will try anything once and it is probably a more positive move than sitting on the lounge watching African Queen re-runs or cooking shows on foxtel or making an idiot of myself looking like some old perve hanging about in pubs and bars.

I am still forming the questions i hope to answer in the longer term but not ruling out a permanent stable loving relationship... (if such a thing is still possible).. however I can still have a laugh, cos without humour we are dead.

One Observation if i may... (after a whole month of experience on here..) Why is it that 90% of profiles (both m/f) state qualities of "down to earth, balanced, great sense of humour, caring, loving, good natured.... yada yada yada" and yet we are all on our bl**dy own.. lol.. c'mon gals/guys.. fess up and tell it like it is... they say the truth will set you free.. (laughin... ) Gawd i am a dope.

First date would need to be in an environment where both parties felt comfortable, that gives each an even chance of being themselves (whilst both are most likely as nervous as a cat in a rocking chair factory). Coffee is easy and would give you the opportunity to run very quickly without having to endure a whole evening being with someone you didnt click with, or for the more adventurous .. Dinner maybe or a picnic on water somewhere or drive to the vineyards, afternoon at the races.. shrug ,.. wherever as long as both are happy and comfortable to be there.
