I was reading some posts on the forum and found them to be interesting, also a few pictures made me look twice.

I find it very strange, odd and uncomfortable to be on an on-line dating site. But I did end up here. So I decided to go ahead and post a profile. To be honest, I feel that it would be difficult to find nice, real people on line, but many of my friends disagree.
We will have to see what happens.
I apologize if this offends anyone, I am just old fashioned and have some reservations about doing the on-line dating, but maybe with time I will feel better about it.
Note on pictures in profiles:
I am not comfortable with posting my picture on the web, but would e-mail it to some people if needed. I don't have anything to hide, but do want my privacy protected.
It bothers me that some profiles will not allow contact without a picture. I do look at profiles without pictures as much as those with images.
There are some that I would have contacted after reading their profile, but due to their pictures restrictions cannot.
To describe myself:
It is hard/odd to talk about yourself but here is what my friends describe me as: overall good person, loving and caring mother and friend, likes to give and receive affection (but I don’t need to be attached 24/7), generous, determined, goal oriented, independent, dedicated, loyal, social, fun, easy going.
Physically: Average height, fit/thin (athletic, work out regularly) and long blonde hair.
Biggest turn-on in a man: a man who makes me laugh
Biggest turn-off in a man: selfishness, clinginess and impatience,

P.S. A note on Favorites:
I add profiles to my Favorites that are of interest to me but that I either can't contact at that time (or without a picture posted) or feel odd contacting first. My favorites list is similar to a smile I would give across the room to someone if I wanted to say hello to them and go from there.
Distance dating: I do not live right in the city I have listed in my profile; it is closest larger populated area. I do not mind dating someone a bit away as I do not plan to stay in the exact area I am in now. I am flexible with this subject.
