| | Why a vegetarian ? I am frequently asked this. It’s because I strongly believe in being healthy, feeling healthy, awakening each morning feeling great, and having that feeling last throughout the day. I do not eat meat, or use drugs, which includes alcohol and tobacco, as well as prescription drugs. I eat organic foods, a lot of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, rice, pasta, nuts, and other foods, which create, overall, a very healthy diet. I avoid fried foods, and foods laden with salt and sugar because I hate how sluggish my body feels afterwards. Whoever said you are what you eat (and drink) was accurate. When you only put healthy things into your body, your body will reward you by feeling good.
Sports (playing and watching) are a passion, including baseball, football, bowling, volleyball, tennis, air hockey, darts and billiards, among others. I also enjoy lifting weights, dancing, and working out as other forms of exercise, staying fit, and being healthy.
I love to relax, listen to, and talk about music, artists I love, who are my favorites, and what are my favorite songs (wide variety starting with big band, classical, country, dance/disco, easy listening, jazz, pop, rock (early Motown), sixties and seventies classic rock, and today).
Cooking is another passion (I've been told I am a very good cook - I've cooked for pretty much everyone I know). I love to cook and am always looking at cooking shows and web sites for recipe ideas.
Who doesn’t enjoy the guilty pleasure of watching TV shows and movies ? I tend to enjoy comedies and dramas. I appreciate TV shows, movies, and people who make me laugh or think. I am extremely cerebral. I enjoy figuring out how things work, how to notice problems, and fix them. I am extremely analytical. I also love to laugh. If you can make me smile and laugh, contact me.
I also love the peace and quiet of being in the middle of a good book. Listening to mellow, background music, while reading, is such an enjoyable, relaxing feeling. I like a lot of mysteries and sports books. John Grisham, and other mystery writers similar to him are great.
I am a mellow, happy, healthy, affectionate, loyal, low-key, caring, understanding, funny, educated, dependable, responsible, self-sufficient guy who seeks a nice lady with similar interests, so we can enjoy each other's company, sharing our time and thoughts with each other. I am low maintenance, and low drama.
I wish to meet a nice lady, and get to know who she is, on the inside, in her heart and her mind, and get to know truly who she is, and appreciate her personality, quirks, sense of humor, and the characteristics that make her who she is. I enjoy life and look forward to finding my other half. If you read this, and feel you may be the one, please don’t be shy. Contact me, and let me know why I need to meet you.
I actually read profiles, before deciding whether or not to contact someone. Pictures and looks are first impressions at best, and are extremely overrated. I do not judge a book by its cover. I am very open-minded, and open to meeting people of any and all races, and I will not be interested if looks are all you have. You will hold my interest if you have an interesting profile, and can add to that by exchanging a few e-mails back and forth with me, to show me that we have common interests, and that you are an interesting person with depth of personality. Then, if we exchange a few interesting e-mails, I expect to follow that with phone conversations, and eventually meeting face-to-face. Please take the process seriously, and be willing to talk over the phone, and meet. If all you want is a pen pal, or someone to instant message, or text message, I am looking for someone who is more serious about meeting, and appreciating the time we spend with each other.
I do not hide behind a computer. If you are interesting, I want to talk to you, then, meet you, and get to know you. I do not instant message or text message. I find anonymous messages back and forth to be cold and impersonal. Think of the friends you have. Do you only e-mail, instant message or text message them ? Or, do you pick up a phone and speak with them, and meet with them, face-to-face, and enjoy being with them ? A conversation is either by phone or in person, when both people are communicating simultaneously. I will send a few e-mails back and forth while we are getting to know each other, but, if we find each other interesting, I expect to exchange phone numbers, talk to each other, and eventually meet, get to know each other, and appreciate each other’s company.
I want you to be someone I look forward to being with during our second date, before the first date ends. Are you the person I want to be with, as well as the person I would not want to be without ? Are you the person that would be on my mind when we're not together ?
I realize everyone wants to see a photo, but, because of my profession I cannot post a photo online at a social networking/dating web site. Many employers monitor their employees online, especially if their employees are executives, attorneys, politicians, police officers, and other professions that deal in sensitive or confidential information. It is becoming more common for employers to not allow their employees to post their photos online. I have many friends and business contacts who are not allowed to join social networking web sites, and post their photos online. If you would like to see a picture of me, contact me, and I will send a private e-mail to you, with attached photos. If you enjoyed reading my profile, thank you, and send an e-mail to me. I want to meet someone interesting, who I can enjoy being with. Hopefully, you are that person. |
