Easy going, good sense of humor. Work on the east coast, live in CA. I'm a government relations consultant but would like to wind that down in favor of another pursuit. That would also involve considerable travel, mostly international. In fact, I've just completed 2 assignments in May and June. The first took me to Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar for 2 weeks. In June, I was in Yemen for 2 weeks. Fascinating places! In fact, I'll probably be going back in the fall so I've started trying to learn some conversational Arabic.

Currently separated. We are closing in on finalizing the divorce and it should be completed within the next several months.

I enjoy sports, esp. baseball, basketball and football and should be better at golf based upon how much I practice. I have started taking dance lessons--my teacher has me learning salsa, rumba, cha cha, swing and fox trot. It is great fun!

I garden, mostly flowers/ornamentals, but have branched a bit into vegetables/fruits.

Love a good wine or a bottle of cold beer on a hot day.

My tastes in music are very broad--from alternative to opera. Have recently been listening to latin music, mainly mariachi and ranchera. Love Rocio, Vicente, Juan but also enjoy other latin artists--pop as well as traditional. Now I just need to work on my Spanish so I can understand more of the lyrics.

I'm an unabashed Democrat and very much trend to the liberal side in politics having spent close to 25 years in the political arena.

Since I travel so much, I have plenty of time to read. I'm working my way through The Fate of Africa having just finished Paddy Clarke, ha ha ha.

International travel is a passion of mine with my most recent business trips being to the Middle East and regular old tourist trips being to Mexico--Guadalajara, Puebla, Oaxaca. I spend a lot of time thinking of where to go to next--Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Kashmir, a train trip from Istanbul to Kolkata?

As I'm pretty new at this, I'd probably opt for the something w/o much pressure...lunch, a museum, afternoon coffee/drink. If things are going well, maybe on to dinner...
