I've been here before under other names,happyme and mamabub, met some very nice folks, but really hadn't dealt with my baggage. I took a year or so off to heal and grow, forgive and seek forgiveness. I return with heart and soul intact again, having finally deposited my bags in permanent storage. I now travel light, and enjoy the freedom. For me, living well is the ongoing process of growing and evolving through God's grace. Which means I have a strong faith, but I probably don't fit whatever stereotype you may have of "religious". If you want to know more, just ask.

I enjoy being around people, hearing their stories, learning and encouraging when needed. But need downtime to recharge alone or with someone special.

I am naturally curious, love to learn, an explorer; every hiking trail, park path, gravel road, highway,curve in the shoreline,new culture or cuisine is an exciting experience. Cooking is fun, especially with or for someone else, so is games night, movie night,cuddles, hugs and holding hands. Just hanging out with a special person, discussing the day and life. Home projects are way more fun shared. TV is overrated except for a few shows, and hockey and basketball. Live music, theater, museums, galleries, all provide fun stimulation. I used to dance, and would love to again, but need a patient partner, who is willing to run a refresher course. My music tastes cover everything from jazz, blues, big band, reggae, classic rock,country, contemporary Christian, Jack Johnson, Michael Buble, Chris Tomlin, Rich Mullins, some classical,and open to new artists. Not so much into hip hop, rap, opera. Radio bounces from Magic 99 to Sonic, Shine, Cisn, but not talk radio.

Things still on my bucket list: travel more, learn to play violin, try sailing, fishing, kayaking, write a book....the list is a work in progress, like me.

I enjoy life on my own, but company on the journey is always more fun. In "I am looking for" I picked dating because that's where one starts. If something more significant and long-term comes from that, even better.

I value honesty (really, if I'm dumb enough to ask if this outfit makes me look fat, I will not get mad if you say yes!),integrity, kindness, gentle teasing,humour,compassion, a sense of fun, dependability, courage. I enjoy discussion, but not arguments. Social drinking, but not to excess or addiction, unless recovering. I do not use or tolerate use of street drugs.

I have somewhat old fashioned values, and value commitment and monogomy. I don't share well with other women, unless they are friends. I am definitely not a cougar, sleeping with someone younger than my kids feels just too weird for me.

I am overwieght, but I am healthy, and becoming fit again after too many years of not. I have included some less than flattering photos, cuz what you see is what you get.
