I'm looking for someone who has checked their baggage at the gate for life's ongoing flight...how about you?
The important blessings in life - my 8-year old daughter, career, home, family and friends - are all set, and it would be a wonderful icing on the cake to be able to share another joy - companionship with the right person.
My friends & family would describe me as intelligent, mellow, caring, upbeat and fun to be with - and when people find out that I'm 50, I almost always hear "you don't look anywhere near that age"! Isn't age really just a number anyway ?
My pictures (besides being, well, pictures!) tell a little about where I'm at, as well:
First picture - my daughter's 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, June 2004; I think parents who go through these things ought to get a trophy with "I Survived My Child's Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese" inscribed on it!
Second picture - Milwaukee, May, 2005 - I flew up to Chicago to see a British band named Porcupine Tree on a Friday and drove to Milwaukee the next day to catch their gig there. I got to combine my two main loves - music & travel!! I had met many PT fans online on their Fan Forum, and we all met up there and had a fantastic time. I was part of the "Street Team" (thus the shirt) and also met the band and asked why they hadn't played Texas (in four USA tours) - and, to my surprise, they came to Texas in October!! Wonder if I had anything to do with it...
Third picture - NEARfest Progressive Rock Festival, Bethlehem, PA, July, 2005 - once again got to combine music and travel! Progressive Rock bands and fans from all over the world come to Lehigh University in Bethlehem each June or July to participate in NEARfest, allowing us American fans to see great music we wouldn't otherwise be able to see unless we traveled to Italy, Japan, the UK, Scandinavia, etc. A very cool weekend.
Fourth picture - the only "aged" picture of the bunch - Cabo san Lucas, Baja, Mexico, 1994. I put this one in there to show that I haven't really changed physically in the ten years since. Still wear the same size clothes - have all my hair

- keep myself on the better side of that "Average" designation!
I'm open for anything, but my first loves are music (concerts/clubs, etc.), dining out, baseball and travel. I'm also happy going to plays, movies, museums, day trips to the beach or outdoor hikes - you name it!
Although I'm a single Dad (and love it!), I do get ample "me" time, and I'd love to spend it with a caring woman. I don't believe that "nice guy" has to equate to "boring guy" at all.
If you're looking for someone who'll treat you spectacularly, and you're tired of all the game playing (as I am), I might just be your man.
So, if you're ready for the "real deal" in a person, let's get to know each other better!
I'm a member of the "I'll know if there's chemistry in the first 10 minutes" school.
In keeping with that, I think a great first meeting would start out over coffee or a happy hour meeting, and if a great conversation ensues, and there's an attraction on both sides, we'll go from there.
Dinner - or music/comedy at a club - is always welcome, but any situation that would allow us to get to know each other better is fine!
