Ultimately, I'm looking for a friend, someone I can have a serious conversation with but also get silly and laugh with. I hope it could develop into more. I'd like to meet someone who cares about herself, but not self-centered, and we could take care of each other. No drama queens or head games and I promise none in return! As I get older, I try not to take things too seriously, don't sweat the small stuff as much. I do like nice things, and I'm not afraid to work hard to get them, but I have no desire to try to keep up with the Joneses. I hear they're getting divorced soon, anyway!

People would say I'm a good guy, and I'm pretty easy-going. I love the outdoors, music, good cooking (mine's not bad), and seeing and doing new things. I am very independent. I like all kinds of animals and have a dog and a couple of cats.

It depends on how much we've gotten to know each other before our first date. If only a little, then something fairly quick like coffee or a drink to see if we click at all. If we've spoken some already, then maybe head out for a hike or to a show, fair, festival, flea market, concert, golf, etc. (depends on the season) and then go to a local restaurant.
