I have been living in Austin for 12 years now. I moved here after a tour in the military and was hooked on the atmosphere of this place. I'm a big fan of the "Keep Austin Wierd" campaign! I was raised a military brat and have lived all over the place. The rest of my family lives in Montana and I visit whenever I get the chance.

My hobbies include MMA(mixed martial arts)classes, football(Go Steelers!), movies, reading, meditation, UFC and blackjack. I like to travel (Vegas!) when I get the time. I am also currently trying to teach myself Texas Hold'em Poker but am a novice at the moment!

I am an animal person and have 2 cats. I also feed many strays! I help the Humane Society with their trap/spay/nuter program whenever possible. I know what you are thinking. A 44 year old guy with cats.....hmmmm.

I work in the semiconductor industry. I am on a night shift which suits me well as I am very much a night person. I put that out there because some of you may have a problem with that kind of schedule.

I like to go out on the town every now and then but mainly I enjoy a quiet evening at home. When I was younger, I hit the bar scene hard and heavy but have moved beyond that now so if you are still big into the clubs, I will probably bore you! When I party now, I'm happier at home or with a few good friends. It's safer that way too!

I have no children but if you do that is great. I get along well with children and animals alike!

I am trying really hard to be a vegetarian but I fall off the wagon constantly! I would like to move to a totally raw food diet in the future but I know NOTHING about nutrition! Either way, I'm not pushy about it and you are under no pressure to participate in my "food experiment phase"!

I listen to all kinds of music. Mainly classic rock and metal but also country, alternative, dance, pop, techno and even a little hardcore gangsta rap now and then! Variety is the spice of life, right?

I consider myself an independent when it comes to politics. I have voted both democrat and republican in the past and feel that both sides are right about some things and wrong about some things. Can't we all just get along?
