| | Hey, thanks for reading this. I'm a young 39 year old, 5ft8 and 150lbs. I'm a normal, masculine, sane, stable guy who has recently relocated to Norfolk. I'm still getting used to the pronunciation, "Nawfik", and the various idiosyncrasies that seem to be inherent with a move to any new place. I took an apartment in Ghent, mainly because of it's close proximity to my place of work. I like it here so far, such as the 5-10 minute commute and being able to walk to so many places. I am divorced as of 2006, on really great terms with my ex-wife, and have two kids who live with their mom outside DC. I generally keep to myself, and am a rather more reserved person in public. In private, I have a great sense of humor, ranging from sarcasm to silliness and everything in between. I love a good laugh as much as the next person, but never at the expense of others. I tend to be very non judgmental.I'm a good person, and most people who know me would say exactly that about me if asked. Good guy. Thoughtful. Nice to have around in any situation. Diplomatic. Giving.
In my spare time, I like to read and write, listen to music (which is a central part of my life), see movies, eat well. I cook too. I like to travel, I've been all over the world, and need to see more. I come from Texas originally. As for music, my tastes are eclectic, but I am really quite the expert in classical, opera and ballet. I've been involved with these for years, and can tell you that music is, as I said, a central part of my life. I would like to be involved with someone who understands music well, or is also interested. Attending performances by the symphony should not be alien to you, or at least not out of the question. As to other activities, regional travel would be nice...I haven't ventured out much in the area, being so new here. Show me around!
You should be similar, preferably masculine, non-scene, grounded, trustworthy, and not prone to drama. Trust me, I've had enough for two lifetimes. As far as age goes, meh..20's (if you are mature for your age, and know what you want) to young 40's. I like those who are well built, but you don't need to live in the gym either.
