Looking for a stable, good-hearted, loving man with all the qualities that can make him a wonderful soul-mate. Am I asking too much? Maybe not perfect, but someone who treats you like they want to be treated. A man who knows how to treat a woman like a woman and is a man's man. I always said it takes a heck of a man to make me a heck of a woman. Anyway, I tried my best to help a person who drank too much,and wasted many years because of it. He would not change even if it meant losing everything. Please, if you have an addiction problem of any kind, seek the help you need and hopefully you will find the right person for you, someday. I just want an average, normal, everyday life with a caring, devoted, spiritual man that can show me life does not have to be hard or unpredictable on the whole. I am probably scaring most men off, but if I am, he is not meant to be for me. There will probably be some kind of spark there if we're meant to be. But I myself, do not want to just jump into any relationship right away; get to know each other well first. Life is what you make it, always has been, always will be. I am looking for someone who is compatible with me in age and life experiences. I notice some 55 yr old men are looking for women 25 t0 50 and I guess that leaves me out. You don't know what you're missing. And if you want someone that young, you are probably heading toward a heartache. It's sad when a person your own age is too old for you. I seek a realistic (man about my age, man) that may have got thrown from the horse a few times, but got back up and became a stronger person because of it. And I know not all you guys out there own Harleys or I'd be seeing them all over the hi-ways. All I'm saying, is a man does not have to impress me that way to get my attention. I have been working on myself to be a better person also, which some of the desire to do better comes with age. I quit smoking 2 years ago, and I am very proud of that. It was not easy, but I got the Chantix and self-hypnotized myself after trying numerous times to quit. Most things can be overcome with enough devotion and experience. I try not to judge other people and hope they can find the strength that I found, to accomplish good things in their lives.

I think a first meeting is different than a first date. A first meeting would be to meet in a coffee shop or family restaurant where both people can feel comfortable to relax and find out if that spark is there. Also, the second meeting should be the same, if there is one. For the "first date" I would say a good Saturday matinee with popcorn and sodas, then a walk through the mall or a game or two of bowling.
