I am tall, friendly and outgoing. People tell me that I have a great smile and meet people well. I have a lot of energy and like to be doing things. I believe that I have an innate ability to see things that others think are impossible. I often believe when others refuse to consider the possibilities. You should probably know that my faith is very important to me. It is a part of who I am. I am often told that I am a hopeless romantic. I love walks on the beach and through the park especially at sundown. I like sitting in front of a roaring fire while reading or singing to each other. I love a secluded mountain cabin and cooking meals together. I really like to travel. I love Golf! (I have been to the Masters twice - as a spectator of course); I love to fly (I am a private pilot); I really love to watch ESPN Classic boxing; Fly fishing and horse back riding in the mountains of New Mexico. I always attend church on Sunday unless I am somehow providentially hindered.

It would be wonderful to meet a woman that is both self-assured and yet genuinely vulnerable. Educated, and yet wanting to learn more. Someone that is curious about new things in life and loves to travel. A sweet, tender and caring woman with a sultry voice is really nice. A woman that is aware of the world and yet focused on nothing else but the two of us makes me sigh.. BTW, there is something about feeling the warm breath of a special person just before you kiss that is really good too. I can't explain it I just know that I like it!

Okay wonderful ladies. There is evidently some confusion over a few concepts and so I want to try it another way: 1) “Religious” is a term that is used by a particular church and some secular thinking people. I have committed my life to a relationship with a personal God through the finished work of Jesus Christ. 2) “Faith” is not purely faith in faith, or positive thinking. It is our moral response to the revealed Word of God. 3) Hence “spiritual” is not merely the glowing recognition that we are somehow different than (or one with) other living beings or “Cosmic other” etc. 4) “God” is our infinite-personal triune creator and sustainer of everything. He loved us so much that gave His only begotten son, Jesus, to save us from the effects of the fall of man and our sins. Is that a little clearer?

Politics: I am a mixture of conservative with a dominate strain of libertarian philosophy. Simply put I believe that big government is the problem and not the answer to our problems. F. A. Hayek, Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell are writers with whom I agree and for whom I have a great deal of admiration.

A nice cup of coffee with you in a small cozy cafe would be nice for a first meeting.
Favorite places: I really like Greek-Mediterranean food. Zizikis and Zorbas are my favorite restaurants. Gumbo at Papadeaus is really good. I would like to bum around Europe and see the great museums and churches for about three months. I should have done this when I was younger. I will make up for lost time if this appeals to you. By the way, Is your passport up to date?

I think it is wonderful if you have children and grandchildren. (I do too.) I want a woman to be a good mother and/or grandmother, (if you have them), but I do have questions about women that make their progeny "their everything" in this stage of their lives. Painfully, I have discovered that some women can't let their children go. I have met wonderful women that can not, (or will not), naturally allow their children to grow away from them so that they can develop a new relationship with a man. To me it seems that a couple needs this emotional space in order to develop and enjoy their new life together.

Incidentally, I am not into "strategically placed tattoos" or body piercings. (of course ears are okay for earrings). I am sorry but they make me question someones judgment. I like "normal". I really like smart women. I like good judgment. I hope that I did not alienate too many of you. But it is the truth none the less.
Occasionally I am asked what do you want? To what kind of women are you attracted? This is a good and fair question. I believe that I am attracted to godly, smart, tall, shapely (closer to a size 6 or 8 not 16), musical and artistic women. That kind of woman would get my attention and is someone with whom I would have a lot in common. I hope that this does not sound too shallow or superficial but I am being honest about the subject.
Guess what? I like peace, tranquility, harmony - no drama and no conflicts!
Yes I like to dance. I prefer ballroom dancing to the "boot scootin'" Billy Bobs type. I prefer the Nasher to the NASCAR. I prefer roaming the Hill Country with my camera to riding a Harley looking for a beer joint.
