Retired for 5 years from local law enforcement. I'm financially secure and looking for someone living close by to meet. I'm more of a home body than a party animal. I guess I've done my share and now I'm more into the relaxing part of my life. BBQ's and laying by the pool is nice and would be nicer with a partner.
I enjoy saltwater aquariums as a hobby along with home improvement and playing with my two dogs, Max the yellow lab and Winston the english bulldog. I can't allow myself to watch HGTV because I always want to knock a wall down or start some new project. Home Depot and Lowes are programmed into my GPS.
I enjoy lots of different types of music but don't care for rap or country too much. I also enjoy reading mostly fiction, Stephen King, John Grisham, Carl Hiaasen, Dean Koontz. I'd rather have a hardback book over a paperback. There's just something nice about keeping a book around that someone will be able to read long after I'm gone. I'm sure a shrink would be able to find some hidden meaning in that and the tree huggers would think I'm using up too many resources with the Big books.
I'm looking for someone that has the time to devote to a relationship. Someone that enjoys family time whether it's theirs or mine (3 daughters, 2 married with kids keeps me busy and happy). I would like to do some traveling but can be just as happy staying at home.
