Thanks for taking the time to read these few short lines about me and why I'm on here.

What do I write here, I thought? Well, it would be nice to meet someone who can offer me a fresh perspective on life, and some companionship would be a nice thing to have as well. My friends and family are a massive part of my life, but it's always great to have new friends to share the nicer moments with.

I'd like to meet someone who is kind, generous of heart, genuine, and is confident and happy in themselves. Also, a good sense of humour can make such a difference. You definitely need to find something to laugh about every day. This is my character in a nutshell, so I hope to meet someone who thinks along the same lines.

I love sports, and drama on TV and at the theatre. I do get to the odd live football or rugby match, but I would never inflict this on anyone who fails to see the point! A good book or a DVD with a glass of wine is often a welcome distraction in the evening. Love an evening in the pub from time to time, but chilling out at home can be heaven after a hard day's work!

What's next for me? I am keen to get out and see the world, but have plenty of time for that. Driving across America is an all time ambition. I've only been to the States once, but I long to see more of it now that I am older, and more able to appreciate it. Also, now I'm 29 I can at least have a beer!

I believe this more or less describes me, but it's really hard to write about your own personality without sounding arrogant. I hope this is not your initial impression!

I think that a few drinks and a meal is the best option. It would give us the chance to chat and relax, but I'm open to suggestions here. You never get a second chance to make a first impression after all! :)
