I moved to Dallas from St. Louis 1 1/2 years ago, a great new career opportunity brought me here. People tell me that I'm a very social, outgoing, open minded, and a down to earth type of person. I figured I'd check out and see what this "plentyoffish" hype is all about. I'm an all around sports fan...I play, watch, and coach soccer. I'm also into mountain biking and scuba diving. Traveling and cooking are another two of my passions. I grew up in Europe and have visited some of the most beautiful places, however, I still have a lots traveling to do. On the weekends I enjoy various social activities...concerts, sporting events, happy hours, and new dining experiences. At the same time, occassional weekend nights in with a bottle of wine and a movie are very therapeutic. Altough I have many friends that I go out with, the bar scene is not something I wanna be a part of every weekend.

Keep it short and simple. I think that meeting out for a happy hour or a quick bite to eat is enough. At that point, if the conversation is flowing, consider extending the day/evening. Save the dinners, art museums, sporting events, or other activities for the second date. The last thing that anyone wants is to spend two or three hours waiting for that bail-out phone call :)
