I've been on POF for years now, and have met the odd good friend. However, most of the women I have met are simply looking for a free night out.

So, I am going to just do what I like to do, and hope to find like-minds that way. I'll keep my POF profile up, but am not going to put much hope in finding a worthy partner here.

I enjoy participating in my community, either through volunteering, sports, or socializing. You might see me in the Shuswap/Okanagan area, as my two daughters live in that region, and I like to see them while taking-in many activities there.

I'm a biologist, and enjoy anything to do with the outdoors. Herbology is huge for me, but so is animal behavior (including the human kind), geology, and astronomy. I play to learn, but also for the sake of playing. I like to cook, listen to live music, read, watch movies, dance, socialize, play pool, hike, bike ski/snowboard and snowshoe. Sometimes, I will even watch the odd program, but I have to do it with friends, because I haven't owned a TV for 30 yrs. No sitting on the couch with a remote in one hand and a beer in the other for this guy. I would rather play a sport than watch it.

In a few words: If you can't stand on your own two feet, please don't stand on mine, cuz we'll both fall down.
