I'm relatively new to the DC area and I don't know many people. I like spending time on my own, but it would be nice to have someone join me at least every once in a while. I'm still settling in down here, so I'm not really looking for a serious relationship just yet. If I meet someone and we click, that's great and I'm not going to run away, it's just not something I'm actively searching for at the moment. I tend to believe that love doesn't happen if you're looking too hard. When you're not looking, that's when it seems to find you.

The most important thing for me is finding someone who I can talk with...about most anything. There are lots of other things that are important, but if we can't talk then it's not going to go anywhere. I also want someone that I can be comfortable just being with....enjoying comfortable silences (reading together, staring off at the water, etc). And yes, there does need to be an attraction.

I'm a very laid-back, easygoing, open-minded person. I'm a big movie fan and happy with dinner and a movie on most nights (in or out). I'm not a club person, but enjoy a nice bar (haven't been to many yet, but I love the long wooden bars at Old Ebbitt), or going out to see live music. I'm also looking forward to exploring the DC area and taking weekend trips outside of here. I'm up for most anything, so if you're intrigued at all, drop me a note and we can go from there.

Let's just meet up for a drink...no pressure. If we connect, great. We move on to drink #2 (or a bottle) and see where things go. Planning a weekend trip to Paris sounds great, but it's probably best if we save that for the second date.
