About Me
Just looking for now after being married for too long to the wrong person. Someday, I will find the right person and she will find me, and together, we will find each other. My profile says "Dating" but like many, I hope that I will find someone for the "Long Term". Oh, and "Jaegermeister" actually means something in German - it's not my drink of choice!

Where does one start in describing themself? Ok, I'll start with the physical. 5'9", about 195 lbs (yes, I should lose about 10 lbs) but in pretty good shape otherwise, brown hair, slightly gray at the temples (it's all because of my kids, really!) but at least I have ALL of my hair - no baldness or receeding hairlines for me! I'm 47 but many people tell me I look 30-ish. Green eyes, big smile, all of my original teeth in excellent condition. I don't act my age and I refuse to get old - as they say, I may be getter older but I refuse to grow up! But that's in a good way, really. I don't act immature, just younger, more active, more outgoing.

I used to live in the suburbs and moved to the country when the opportunity arose. I always wanted to have agricultural activities, such as an orchard, a variety of fruits and vegetables, wine grapes, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, etc....yes, it's a bit much, but being self sufficient and not needing to run to the store every 10 minutes for stuff makes it all worthwhile. And "civilization" is a mere 10 minutes away, yet the peace and quiet make it seem like it's a million miles away.

My "profession" - well, it's a bit convoluted to describe right now. I've worked in the healthcare industry since 1995, and in the IT area since 1997. I started my Master's of Healthcare Administration program at USC in August'09. I'm also in the military reserve - Army - and am a Patient Administrator. I haven't been deployed and probably won't be, but anything's possible. I might even transfer to the Navy, if it's possible. But, in the interim, I am using my real estate license to see if I can earn a few $$$$$$$$ in this recovering real estate market.

I love to travel and go on cruises - balcony cabin or suite, of course! I enjoy flying, especially when I get bumped to first class on a 757 or 777 - nice! I want to travel more and will soon. I enjoy doing a lot of outdoor activites, doing mechanical work on older cars, riding my horses, fishing, camping, the list goes on! Wine tasting and sampling new restaurants - fun and yummy! I also enjoy cooking and baking - yes, I would cook dinner for you and give you romantic ambience, too! Maybe one of these days I'll even bottle my own wine and serve that at dinner.

I enjoy many types of music, but usually classic rock, 80's, smooth jazz. Some of my favorites are Al Stewart, Dave Koz, Fourplay, The Cars, Styx, ZZ Top, and so many more. I really don't care for rap and I will listen to country on occasion. One of my all-time favorite songs is "Drowning in Your Eyes" by Ephraim Lewis...and "Year of the Cat" by Al Stewart...yes, I have an Ipod and I know how to use it...

There are a lot of things that I want in a relationship. No, I am not just "some guy" who is shallow and unfeeling. I'm also not a needy person. What I do want, though, is a partner who wants me and needs me the same way that I want and need her. Someone who understands that we do best when we are there for each other, and can get the love and support that we need from each other. Someone who realizes that no one is perfect, understands that life happens and makes the best of it. Someone who wants to be close to me, as I do to her. I love to touch and be close often - holding hands, shoulder massages, stealing kisses just because...

I'm sure I could tell you my life story here, but then you'd have nothing to look forward to. Maybe, one of these days, we will meet or talk or email and you'll ask to hear more. Yes, I do have pictures, and they are recent - (heck, I can take a picture as of 10 minutes ago and you wouldn't know if it was now or 10 years ago - ok, maybe you really could if you looked close), and of good quality, and I will eventually post them.

I've edited my profile a few times to fill in a gap here and there. I know I can't answer all the questions in this space, but hopefully there's enough for the time being. Just like you, there is much more to me than is initially posted here.

First Date
There are so many nice restaurants in the area, I'd love to go to lunch or dinner at one. Wine tasting is always fun. I probably wouldn't want to go skydiving, rock-climbing, water skiing or the like, but coffee, tea, glass of wine, etc is always ok for a first get together. I'm not wishy-washy and unable to make decisions, but I do appreciate input and opinions. I'd hate to suggest or plan something, only to find out that you were allergic to something and then we'd spend the evening at the ER. We will cross that bridge when we get there.

Jaegermeister has 2 roses that can be sent.
