I like to attend sporting events with my son (football, basketball, hockey), participate in kickboxing (I am certified to teach), play in my brass choir (trumpet), research on the computer, watch movies, new and old (ask me anything about Johnny Depp), take drives (when gasoline is affordable), write (children's musicals/plays). I enjoy the theatre, literature, fine arts, traveling, photography, reading, wine tastings, and learning new things. I love anything to do with being on the water (boating, snorkeling - ok, that's technically IN the water). If you study personality tests, I am an INFP (1% of the population). My taste in music is varied, though I listen to a lot of rock (classic, southern, hard, Christian, and other), pop country, new bluegrass, techno (to work out), funky jazz, classical......I LOVE music, what else can I say?!

I love to laugh and can enjoy the humorous side of life, and want someone who is sharp in the same way, someone who likes words and knowledge, appreciates wit, playfulness, and extreme straight forwardness. It's also important to find someone who is physically active and wants a partner in something of this venue (not EVERYTHING, but at least SOMETHING). I work with children because I am, and always will be, a child at heart, trusting easily and generously, and looking at the world wide-eyed.

Lastly, having certain things in common make for a lasting relationship, and for me some of those include having a good education (ie well read), being a fun conversationalist, financially responsible, and moralistically strong.

And, please, your pictures should show at least a couple of your true self....sans shades, hats, blurs, giant martini glasses with umbrellas, etc. :) If you have read this far, then you should have gathered by now that I am 'in' to WORDS. A profile that shows you have taken the time to compose something about yourself would be delightful.

I would like to have the opportunity to talk (see if the chemistry is there) and see the other person's sense of humor. Before an actual date (taking a drive, exploring a new place, holding hands and skimming stones....lots of options), we will have chatted (writing, LOTS of written communication, and then by phone) enough to know that an 'in person' meeting will be fabulous!
