About Me
Well, where do I start. I am widowed for over 4 years, but life goes on. Fairly active, (attractive ?) male enjoying excellent health with a good outlook on life, believe in honesty, decency, cleanliness, manners and respect. I am retired, intelligent, have sea-blue eyes, balding on top, have been and still am disease and drug free. Love dancing often, especially latin/ballroom, also fine dining, comedy theatre, travel, the occasional cruise, weekend trips around lower B.C., comedy and drama/action movies, some live theatre. Attempting to learn golf, having stopped tennis and skiing after many years of fun. (Thought about racquetball). Honestly, I am not a fan of big tattoos and facial piercings. Can wear cowboy boots, hat and jeans, a suit, or just casual dress, as situation requires. Happy with my life, career, health, abilities, my kids and I am financialy secure. I have travelled quite a bit, Hawaii being my favourite(5 times), most of the Caribbean, some of Europe, the Arctic, much of the U.S., Mexico, and pretty much all of Canada. Can speak fair French and some Spanish. I do have children in B.C. that I see regulalrly, offer them advice when asked which of course they rarely take. (This sort of reminds me of a job interview). Am warm, affectionate, romantic, gentlemanly, like to laugh and see the funny side of things, do not take life's problems too seriously. Candlelight dinners in dimlit places I do enjoy, especially in the company of a gracious lady whose eyes I can gaze into and meet her soul, while we sip some wine and consider our futures. Holding hands while walking along a beach is nice, where we can pause to hug , kiss, passing an afternoon at a flea market looking at treasures (?), maybe a weekend on the island or in the Okanagan can be fun. I enjoy most foods, Italian, Chinese, Thai (particularly), French, Canadian, Latin so-so. Love hugging, holding hands, and kissing passionately. In public also, but not in an embarassing way. Enjoy the ballroom floor where I can hold a spirited lady in my arms and whisk her around the room. Dancing feet are happy feet. At this point in my life. I have achieved my goals, except winning the lotto, but I am not ready for a rocking chair or becoming a couch potato. I know there are ladies out there with similar views, so, if any of this interests you, please contact me. Have found that living alone has some benefits but also many shortcomings, like the love of a woman, someone to talk to and confide in, a constant companion, a trustworthy lover. Perhaps I will meet my new soulmate? Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and mine. Let's communicate.
First Date
I think a first meeting, I say that because it really is not a "date", should be a mutually agreeable place where both feel comfortable. Dress should be casual, in an atmosphere with some privacy, like a booth at a pub or restaurant, or perhaps a park. Maybe a light lunch would be appropriate, or even a dinner. As for an actual date, I think it should be discussed face to face,or over the phone, maybe a place to dine and/or dance, perhaps bowling (and dinner), or whatever. Oh yes, the mustache is gone. I woke up one morning and it had crawled away, so you don't have to worry about kissing a hairbrush. (However, it could make a comeback upon request).
