Ok, so my pop is a bit new to networking via the new world so I've finally set him up with a new laptop, internet and a new way to connect to the new world of dating. And while he is capable of navigating around here I have agreed to set up his plenty of fish account - yup, he will take it from here.

A little about the best man on earth....
My dad is a retired widower, living in NJ his entire life. He has 3 kids (A son, 38, and 2 daughters, 33 and 36) and 5 grandchildren, ranging from age 5-12, in addition to 3 step-children and several step-grandchildren. Unfortuntely all of us are seperated by state (me being thhe closest in PA). I'm not sure I can truly describe my dad without saying how awesome he is! He's my best friend and someone I know would make another person extremely happy. He is generous,funny, honest, faithful beyond words, level headed and very caring. My dad retired a few years ago after working at the same job, employed by the city, for over 35 years. He lost my step-mom far too soon and now spends his time traveling (as much as he can), working around his house and relaxing. Don't let the word retire fool you - he is very active and always on the move.

What he's looking for...
The most important thing too my dad is what is inside someone. He can pick up on the intent of an individual pretty quickly so unless you have true and good intentions please do not even bother to respond to him. He would prefer someone close to his age and not too much older so 50-65 years old would be appropriate. Please be someone who appreciates travel, cooking (spanish cooking would be awesome) and family. You should be clean, respectful of yourself and others and well maintained. What else can I say...Please be family oriented,not wanting more children and a very easy going person. My pop has a great sense of humor and he will surely keep you smiling. He also attends weekly services at his local church but that is not a requirement for his match.

A first date would be a nice meal out in a quiet setting where my dad can get to know you. This would be the best time to get to know him and him to get to know you. And then you tke it from there. My dad is not one for planning out his entire life, most definitely he would take it day by day.
