Hello...

I love movies, reading, art, photography, coffee, dogs, history, good food, and traveling. If I could live anywhere, I'd be in Assisi, Italy. I enjoy good books, good movies, amusement parks, concerts, cooking/eating, comedy clubs, and church. I'm professional, funny, warm, optimistic, affectionate, and maybe just a little eccentric. I have grown children who make the world a better place.

In September 2008, my then-18-year-old son and I went tandem skydiving, so jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet is something I consider a great time. I am not a sports-lover, but don't have a problem if you are. I'll just sit next to you while you watch, doing a crossword puzzle, if that works for you. ;)

I'm not conventionally pretty, but very comfortable with my looks. I'm smart and educated and a bit of an insomniac. My sense of humor is sharp and I don't consider the day complete until I've given someone a belly laugh.

I am a person of paradoxes: I love gourmet food but really enjoy a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich, I'm theologically conservative but liberal in everything else, I'm extremely professional during the day but will do anything for a laugh anywhere else, and in spite of the business suits I'm usually wearing Monday through Friday, I crave those few days a year when I never even get out of my nightgown.

I'm looking for someone around my age who is full of life, funny, intelligent, spiritual, real, stable, and interesting. I'm optimistic enough to think that he's out there. I am a bit on the old-fashioned side when it comes to communication, so I rarely will make the first contact...but I'd love to hear from you! I'm not a fan of phone conversations...I'd rather talk face to face.

Actually, I dread first dates. I'd rather close my eyes and wake up in a relationship--past all the awkward stuff. But I know it doesn't work that way, so...I'd hope to go someplace public and comfortable. My favorite places are coffee shops, mom-and-pop diners, bookstores, and libraries.
