About Me
First of all – let’s get right to the only stuff that really matters to anyone: All my photos are recent (umm, well, almost all) and all stated information has been documented, notarized, cross-referenced, rubber-stamped and translated into seven different languages. Copies of my photos (with date stamps) as well as copies of documents verifying all statistical info are being held in hermetically sealed bombproof underground vaults at secret locations; each and every one have been insured by Lloyds of London. At my request, and mine alone, a third set of all the documents has been recorded, wherever applicable, in The Guinness Book of World Records. :-)
Glad we got that out of the way. :-)
But seriously, let’s get to the full-disclosure of my Photo Truth's: All photo’s, except the "Black Leather Pants and Cool Ibanez Bass" photo, were taken within just a few months to just a few years. The "Black Leather Pants and Cool Ibanez Bass" photo was taken when I was twelve. That's it. That’s all of it. Oh, one last truth. I have no idea where the picture of that mammoth cat came from, but he's so amazingly huge that I've been waiting patiently for the perfect opportunity to put his picture somewhere, anywhere. Admittedly this is not at all the place for it, but d*mnit, I just couldn't wait any longer.
Well... let’s see... we all seem to say similar things about honesty and humor and communication and values and... but I just can’t bring myself to write about myself as being perfect. I’m far from it. Yet I do have the courage to look at my less-than-yummy negatives and, as well, I am working on making each of these negatives a little more positive. Actually, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I’m likely to be the most self-aware man you’ll ever meet. Here’s one example: I'm trying to learn how to accept all others, which will be a decided improvement over an old liability. I’m working on other stuff, too, and would be glad to send you a list. Probably one of the most important things is that I’ve recently emerged from a period of intense healing. I've decided it's time for me to give romance another chance. John Lennon was right when he said, “Love is all there is”. I will never stop believing he was right - Love is the only thing that truly matters.
As you may have deduced already, I’m not your average cookie-cutter single man looking for a mate. While it’s certainly true that I’m a hopeful romantic (I mean, come on... is there anything more fantastic and amazing than falling head-over-heels in love?) but at the same time I’ve learned by the hardest of ways that friendship is an essential building-block of any romantic relationship – that is if you want it to last. Feeling really solid about someone, trusting them over time, learning from moment to moment who they really are and what they really stand for; there’s just no substitute for falling into serious “like”. I have to like first; not just the exterior (which is still a must), but the interior and the character and the impact and the integrity and the...
Somebody stop me.
I can just go one and on. But hey, at my core I’m a serious writer, so going on and on is definitely an asset (for me, anyway). But I’ll stop now, with the hope that somewhere in the preceding rant there is at least one thing that will pique at least one lovely lady’s interest.
PLEASE NOTE: This site has incorrectly calculated my age. I was born in 1946, not 1950, which makes me 62, not 58. I have searched through the edit process and cannot find a way to make the change. I've also contacted the site and informed them, and asked them to change it.
First Date
We're speaking about the first date only, yes? What I would really like to do is to communicate, listen carefully, and learn about you. I think it's imperative that we get to know each other. In future, there will be time to do 'things" and "stuff".
