Hello, I've been widowed for over 4 years after 21 years of marriage. I am raising 2 teenage boys ( 13 & 16). I try to find the good in all people. Positive additudes bring about positive results. After 25 years I'm ready to write a new chapter in my life. You'll find that I can be devoted, without smothering. Everyone needs a little space now and then. Just so you know I'm there to listen or lean on if needed. I learned after helping my wife battle breast cancer that my shoulders are water-proof. I enjoy bowling one night a week. I take my boys fishing occasionally and we also like to camp. I have a muscle car ( 69 G T O ) that we like to cruise in. My boys acually have been to a drive-in movie! We live in the country on about 5 acres where I run a small construction business. My boys are old enough that I'm not looking for a mother for them, but a hug and a word of praise now and then couldn't hurt either. I would like to find someone who isn't afraid to try new experiences and to introduce me to different things as well. There really are a few gentlemen left in the world. We were just busy being a family man. Now I'm ready to try again. My line is in the water and I'm waiting for a nibble. Update 9/23/09... I am surprised how many women won't even respond to an e-mail. Is common courtesy dead? I was raised to at least respond. I know I'm not the bad boy down the street, never been in jail or even arrested. Don't own a Harley, but still like the sound of one as it passes by. I never knew everyone was so busy they couldn't even write a short no thanks. Too bad that manners don't show through on here. It would save me a lot of time.

Also ladies, don't be afraid of casting the first line. I haven't bitten anyone yet. Besides you can't get a keeper without casting about. I'm ready to get off of here, so get your net out and land your next and hopefully last love.

Go to a causual dinner where we can talk and get to know a little more about each other. If dinner is too much, then maybe brunch, or mid-afternoon with something hot to drink and a dessert. Just a relaxed atmosphere where we can be ourselves. P.S. have not dated for over 25 years so I'm always open to suggestions.
