I am a vivacious 53 year old woman who is self-sufficient and independent, but would enjoy doing a multitude of activities with a special mate. He must have a love of life and be self-sufficient as well. I want to be able to converse with, and learn new things from him. I am kind, respectful, giving and compassionate, expecting the same in return. I admire a keen mind and quick wit. A Great sense of humor goes a long way with me!

I enjoy cooking a nice dinner complete with candles, wine and music. I am in my element when the kitchen calls and that means I LOVE creating. While I don't consider myself to be a "Gourmet" chef, I do like to prepare lots of tasty dishes, so I hope you are open to a great variety of food selections. Got a sweet tooth? I love to bake as well!!

In addition, I'm not opposed to my mate being right there in the kitchen with me, whether he is helping or just there to keep me company. Tell me about your day, and you'll hear about mine. Then as we dine, there is light-hearted and easy going conversation that might include plans for the weekend or just what we may do later that night.

I am fond of many different outdoor activities, and I'm not hard to please. I enjoy festivals, concerts, bike and car shows, movies, hiking trails, picnics in a secluded area, sailing, or just lounging by the pool, followed by a cozy, romantic barbecued dinner. In other words, I like to stay active and be out as much as possible.

Bottom line, let's be open minded with each other and leave room for honesty, sincerity and a willingness to share common interests. Let's not waste time putting on airs or being something we're not.
