To start off, I hope that while reading this short little blurb about me, that you smile and go hmmm at some point. :) I love to be witty when I can, but feel the need to speak honestly as well. Second...please, please, please, be the person in your pics. I'm not shallow, but misrepresentation of who you are, what you look like, is the biggest disappointment when it comes to online dating. Pictures from 10 years ago do not cut it...not even 5 years ago if you have changed a lot since then. I should be able to recognize you easily if we were ever to meet in person.

So here goes...
I'm an easy-going, fun loving person, enjoying my life and now looking for someone to spend time with. I teach high school, and love my job. Well...most days. Especially those during June, July, and August. :-)

I'm a huge family person and would do anything for them.

I love sports - Go Yankees! Go Giants! (grew up in NY--what can I say)...and I even go to watch the wrestling matches for my students where I teach.

I'd like to do more traveling...Spain was awesome, and anywhere there is a beach, I'm in.

I'm pretty adaptable. It's the company that you keep that is more important than what you are doing.

Exercise, cooking, music (big Springsteen fan--but I have a very eccletic mix of music on my ipod), and of course the beach are some ways in which I manage to chill out. A good book can do the trick as well.

I prefer the warm weather. Actually, being honest...I hate the cold.

I'm pretty independent but still appreciate the finer things that come with a relationship - like a guy with a great sense of humour ( especially if they can find a way to laugh at my attempts at being funny!) Great wit can easily put a smile on my face, and I love to smile. Someone who loves to cuddle, kiss, and be affectionate is always a plus.

Turn ons: loyalty, integrity, affection, great wit,laughter/sarcasm, self confidence, athletic, ease of conversation
Turn offs: slackers, conceitedness, couch potatoes, game players, email daters

Obviously we all want to meet someone honest, caring, blah, blah, blah. And not that those things aren't important...they are. But bottom line...there is no substitute for that immediate attraction.

I've been told that I'm pretty true to my profile... I hope to meet someone who is pretty true to theirs as well.

If at any point, you smiled and thought to yourself "hmmm", I hope you'll get in touch. I promise I don't bite...and at the very least we each might have a new friend in our life.

My ideal first date is one in which we keep it simple...but hopefully it ends up with both of us smiling in the end...:)
