Hmmm - what moves me and compels me to get up in the morning? Among other things: appreciating and creating good art; recognizing the twisted humor that Life inevitably provides on a daily basis; Sara Vaughan's voice; most classic film, t.v., music & pop culture trivia ("I gots to know!"); Al Green's voice; the game show "Jeopardy" (a family tradition); L.L.Cool J's torso; "King Of The Hill"; almost any Hitchcock, Altman, Tarantino, or Lynch movie; Dennis Haysbert's entire being, animals in general but particularly those of the feline nature; the notion that someday, preferably before I die, I will gaze into that familiar face that makes me feel like I'm FINALLY HOME, to have a strong, TALL, kind man who looks like he could bench press me (should the need ever arise) - and crack a joke (a good joke) at the same time. Someone who adores me but doesn't gush about it. I long for fun, clever banter, wit that makes me howl with unabashed laughter (you know - the kind that makes you snort!) and still look forward to incredible, instinctive, jaw-dropping lovemaking that just plain makes me howl. Now, really - is that SO MUCH TO ASK?

Intellectual stimulation leads to everything else. It doesn't really matter much when or where. For me, spontaneous combustion is usually enhanced by good food, good art, comfortable surroundings and much laughter. Oh, and I'm 420 friendly.
