I enjoy thinking outside the proverbial pentagram. Don't worry, I am not a card-carrying member of a coven, but I was raised by wolverines in the badlands of Gitchegumachu.

My long-term plans include bungee jumping off my rocking chair and inventing a new language I will call no-speak.

I have dogs - couldn't shake that wolverine connection.

Uh-oh, I hear them howling off in the distance - they're calling me.......

Now, here's the spiel about me:
I have refinished 6 doors in my house, stripped and hung wallpaper, faux painted, re-upholstered furniture, made curtains and wall-hangings out of buttons and bamboo, have a compound miter saw and know how to use it, have chopped down two 5-year-old pine trees with a hatchet (in August 2008), sketched portraits with pencil/charcoal and am beginning to branch out into acrylics, have written poems (some of which are even good - lol), have started writing a book, have 2 very spoiled dogs, have planted numerous flowers and shrubs and have way too many houseplants (I keep hoping some of them will die - I need room for my easels), have designed and built a deck and patio cover (had help with the building part, of course), have my own tool belt (AR-AR!), have had the pleasure of sailing, flying a small single-engine airplane, riding Harleys, fishing, camping in Yosemite and gambling in Vegas and Reno, have loved and been loved. I have some college and consider myself a "Jane of all trades; master of none."

I was born and raised in the Midwest, spent 13 years in California and one year on Okinawa. I currently live in a VERY small town in south central Kansas which has NO cultural venues, coffee houses, art museums, movie theaters, etc. (you get the picture)! Bottom line, there's not much of a social life!

I like different kinds of music (some classical and jazz, R&B, oldies, C&W, big band, polka music not so much). Love to go to antique stores and garage sales. I am directionally impaired (have been lost too many times to count, sometimes in a parking lot), but know up from down.......sometimes (snicker-snicker).
