My friends would tell you I'm funny, a bit off the wall, honest and open and caring... they'd assure you that you'll soon tire of my jokes but that that's part of my charm. My best friend would tell you I'm "a lovely girl"...

I'm very close with my family and value my friendships. Quality over quantity! I have a creative job that I absolutely love. I love good food, though I don't cook as much as I'd like to, and good music (rock/indie/folk, jazz, classical on quiet nights). My tv is rarely on but, if it is, it's because I've happily stumbled across some show about archaeology or sunken ships or an inspiring biography or interview... When I have time, I like to read, too.

I'm pretty independent and, while I do enjoy spending quality time with my cat, I'm hoping to eventually find someone with whom I share that oh-so-elusive (and cliched) "spark". I'm not looking for someone to compliment me. Instead, I would hope that we'd complement each other. You get what I mean by this. Hopefully...

Ideally, I'd love to find a Torontonian with a kind soul and a curious mind, great sense of humour and adventure. Someone who is independent, driven and content with their life the way it is, preferring their own great company to a warm body. I'm at a great place in my life and I'd hope that you are, too.

Bonus points if you like good music & good food, would be up for a canoe trip, and often get a kick out of yourself, even when you're all by your lonesome...

PS- At this point, I'm not interested in dating men with children. While I would like to have a kid or 2 some time in the future, it's a ways off and I'm not ready to throw that lifestyle into the mix right now.
