A little about me....I moved to the Oregon Coast around 36 years ago. I liked it and hope to be able to stay on the coast, somewhere.

Yes...my body is 61...though it looks younger...I do feel its age at times. My age from "How old are you Tests" is 47-48, which is how old most strangers judge me to be (I enjoy having to prove my age to get the discounts...which of course...I deserve....;-) I attempt to eat healthfully.

I was a Medical Technologist in hospitals for 6 years, operated my own business for 20 years, and I have been retired since I was 2000.....nothing like it....love it.

I understand the reality that most of us on this site have lost someone, either due to divorce, or death. (both are a form of death) I also understand, that it is not that easy to find someone who has been somewhat “successful” at this thing called life, unless they have become fairly well developed emotionally, spiritually, and financially. I feel I fit into that category and I have striven to not become jaded, critical and pessimistic about others, life, and politics (the latter, is of course, a greater challenge..;--).

That said, how do we find someone that is compatible? Hmm. Well, I have to say, I love living on the coast. Though I want to be flexible, which means creating a “New” life with a “soul mate”, that may mean relocating, I still choose to limit myself to the coast...from Alaska....down to Calif.

Regarding me, personally, I have a kind heart...sometimes too kind, of which some like to take advantage. I am a Romantic, at heart. I am looking for a lady who believes that Romance and true femininity isn't dead. I do NOT wish to be “The Head Of The Household”...which brings many connotations with it. I would rather like to find a twin flame, who can burn equally brightly, spiritually
and emotionally. The importance, to me of being equally yolked and pulling together, though maintaining enough uniqueness as to remain interesting, cannot be overemphasized.

With regard to my philosophy of life or beliefs....that is something not easily broached until we are getting to know each other in person. It can be summarized in the ideals of Jesus...as in “Do unto others”....or in the concepts of the Dalai Lama..”There is NO room for anger”, or the Buddha, If you can not help someone, at least “do no harm”. I don't feel any specific person or group has a monopoly on knowledge, or wisdom. I guess I would like to summarize daily interactions with all life in the form of KINDNESS. Whether we are kind to our partners, children, pets, or our environment.

I am moderately active, walk or exercise daily, love nature, taking my motor home up and down the coast (I would go elsewhere with a co pilot other that my sweet natured Shar Pei) I am currently fostering another Pei, due to hard times at the Rescues from the recession. I am in pretty good shape, fiscally, emotionally, and striving on the physical part, daily.

I am a little bit of old school when it comes to wanting to care enough about a partner that I have no problem “providing, protecting, and professing”.....that can be explained, if we get to know each other.

I have met some very good friends on line. Every experience has been a “good” one, though to date, I have not found the companion, I know is out there. I am looking for my BEST friend.

I am a unique male in many respects...just a couple of simple things will let you know THAT...hah...I ask directions when I need to. I have been the one who does the grocery shopping. I don't mind doing some cooking, and more....as you will see, as you get to know me.

I enjoy my Japanese maples, and rose gardens. I am an avid reader, everything from self improvement, to mysteries. I enjoy movies that have a theme that can be learned from...and many more, as long as there isn't a lot of violence or foul language.

I am interested in finding someone to love. Sex is important, but it is not the "end all"...it is more like the icing on the cake of a good/healthy relationship. I don't like "having sex"!, but rather BEING, lovingly, with the one with whom I have the same vibrational frequency. If you understand chakras and that realm of "experiencing"...that is what I am looking for again. Once touched in that way, virtually nothing else seems satisfactory. For this to happen, age is not necessarily a factor, but "How old you are" does make a difference. Have you kept yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually young?

I have had good "partnerships"...both yolked and pulling together equally...this is good, and necessary, but I also require that we have that deep abiding bond felt on a soul level, which is an uncommon ingredient to be found in a relationship...one I have tasted and must have again, if I am to feel filled and fulfilled.

I don't watch sports. Though I enjoy some T.V., and a few movies, if they have some worthwhile content, I easily bore with too much T.V. or movies...I like to break up the day with interaction with others, gardening, reading, walking, cooking, and... with a partner...sharing all the things we can learn to have in common.

Endless emails don't work...though I have some "email friends"...that is really not what I am ultimately looking for. Though I am comfortable living "alone" with my dog, my preference is to be with the one who can feel the difference with a mere touch of the hand. Everything else falls into place from there.


I am seeking, ultimately...a like minded...Kind person...If this sounds like this fits something that you are striving to be, and would like in a mate, please contact me.

I don't do well with traditional "dates"...usually I get to know someone as a friend, through others, emails, Skype, etc....and then just "do" something together, such as a walk in a public place........I like to walk..........then maybe a small cafe...just comfortable chat...no "inquistions"..;-)...

If there is the "touch" or the "look"...or we have become comfortable getting to know each other before meeting...there won't be "A DATE"...just that comfortable ease of BEING!
