I am an attractive, dynamic, funny, bright, quirky, purposeful, generally upbeat and perpetually surprising girl. I am no one thing at any given moment and have a slew of interests. I enjoy a wide variety in most categories...friends, food, music, movies, activities. Which brings me here as I want to meet new people and see where it might or might not go. I am at a place in my life where a good long-term relationship would be a lovely thing to find, but I'm not unhappy being single either. I am inherently sweet-natured and grounded. I also have an exceptionally sardonic and irreverent sense of humor. It's really better if you don't try to figure me out and just enjoy whatever I've got going on at the moment.

My aspirations? To have a well-rounded, rich, full happy life that incorporates career, family and friends. I am equally devoted to all of them because it is the combination that makes me happy. At some point I would like to try having a home and family with a man, but I don't feel pressure to do it any time soon. I am by nature child-like in my affection and enthusiasm, but I don't rush into the serious stuff.

I enjoy guys who are interesting, knowledgeable in many areas, open-minded, have a great sense of humor, are warm and very grounded. It is important that he be able to take care of himself...I am nowhere close to being the woman who nags or will "keep you in line". I firmly believe a grown man should be able to do that for himself. A man's primary role in my life is to enjoy and be enjoyed. I like someone I can really relax with and have fun doing a multitude of things like schleping around a thrift store, eating out, going to a concert, hanging out with friends, travelling, have a lazy Sunday on the couch. I require someone who can indulge my giddy nerd love of history and anthropology, pursuit of adventures both great and small and desire to make the mundane as indulgent as possible. I have a soft spot for motorcycles, graduate degrees and interesting jobs.

Romance is something that should develop over time. I like things to be low-key, reasonable, genuine and suited to my tastes, not every other girl you've tried to impress. One thing I *do not* handle well is extravagance and contrived efforts of stereotypical romance. I don't like chocolate or red roses. Good food, good beer and great company is usually the best bet whether it's the first date or 105th date. I have found movies and loud music on a first date are not the best idea beause you can't have a good conversation and get to know each other better. I really like things like street festivals, wine tastings, museums, art galleries, trying a new restaurant, a walk through the park or other scenic setting, motorcycle rides. But mostly it's about good company and someone I really enjoy having time with.
