My name is Owen. I'm a 24 year old musician who just moved to Orlando. I play guitar/synth/vocals in an experimental rock band, which formed a month ago when I moved down here, When we're aren't working on that project or hanging out, I produce ambient down-tempo electronica ( www.last.fm/music/Xesy ). I used to dye my hair pretty often, but its blackish right now and shorter. I don't have any tattoos, but my lip is pierced. I'm Irish and Prussian (emigrated during the Franco-Prussian war). I respect all religion, but I find myself relating the closest to Taoism. I left school before finishing, but once I can become a resident of Florida and have been for a year, I want to go back for Sound and Recording Engineering.

My favorite movies are Biodome, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Caddyshack, Wet Hot American Summer, everything by Kevin Smith, Pulp Fiction, Ghostbusters, Jim Henson movies, and anything that's Battlefield Earth quality (travolta's finest imo).

Books? Whatever Bret Easton Ellis writes, as well as Hunter S. Thompson. Choke was an awesome book, and I'm reading Lullaby now. Goosebumps is cool, oh yea, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

My musical tastes change from week to week, but since I moved to Orlando, I enjoy listening to 101.9 and 106.7. ClubXL on saturday nights is an amazing show. Otherwise, I'm always looking for new bands to hear. When I lived in Charlottesville, Virginia last year, I volunteered at a community arts center as a promoter and event organizer for concerts. Would love to get into that down here, so if you know of anywhere that accepts volunteers for that, let me know!
