This is where I am supposed to say I'm a down to earth guy with a great sense of humour, looking for my soulmate.....Personally I think that's a given, but I'm on the biased side.

I tend to think outside the square, so this is no different.

I'm a warm personality, with my friends and family the pinnacle with work career important but not the utmost anymore. Mind you, I sit in a padded room for 3 hours a day and talk to myself....and crack some pretty lame jokes most of the time, so I wouldn't exactly call it work - more like awaiting 2 men with a comfortable jacket and shiny buckles....

Then there's Candy the Wonder Dog, the (current) love of my life....... who goes everywhere I do (and on some days helps me at work). She is my furry surrogate daughter.

I will admit to being a risk taker, both in professional and personal life. Too many people in the world think they must conform to what others expect them to. For those of you that dare to dream, keep on living your dream - it is the only true path to finding what it is you're searching for.

As for sport, I can't stand watching. Summer means playing cricket on a Saturday afternoon. Have been asked to play union this year as well - bring on the ice bath afterwards, I think I may need it. Oh, and a bi-annual trip to Cairns for a shot of adrenalin during winter for bungy jumping, whitewater rafting, skydiving or scuba(The next big adventure is diving with whale sharks off Exmouth West Aus in 2010).

In fact, travel is a big thing for me....I was once fortunate enough to write features and photography for a travel magazine a number years ago, and caught the bug....even if it is a day trip, weekend or more, I need to explore the world around me.

I'm searching for friends......that is of the utmost importance to me at the present time......however I'm open to anything that forms from the friendship.

I've noticed something in the short amount of time I've been on this site which, sadly, is reflected in general society. Manners have been replaced with rudeness....Why? Is it because of the processed food we eat or is the water we drink from the tap switching on the part of the DNA that says we should become obnoxious? If someone says hello, even in this forum, it is polite to say thank you but not interested....to me, it is a more dignified way of holding your head up, as well as allowing others to know you should be respected.

I'm not a coffee drinker and no longer drink alcohol (believe it or not) however I'm happy to sit there with a decent Earl Grey or a soft drink. Maybe a stroll with the dog for half an hour would be a great idea for something non-commital, or at least an activity of some sort which both of us could enjoy without alienating the other.
